why I loved it !

The Last Samurai is one of those movies that I could see over and over again without getting tired of it. Even after multiple watching it keeps that same emotional impact and deep respect that you develop for the samurais. The script is banal but solid and the cast delivers amazing performances that make up for it. The original soundtrack composed by Hans Zimmer enhance the beautiful shots and magnify the most beautiful landscapes you can see in movies. It is and always will be a must see. Have fun watching !

Charles Kane, a press tycoon, dies alone in his huge mansion, saying a mysterious last word. Intrigued, the press enters into boiling.. Thompson is a reporter who will talk with all those who have experienced the deceased. This successful man ended up losing everything. Throughout the testimonies, the corner of the veil gradually rises.

A masterpiece 

"Citizen Kane" is often mentioned as one of the best films of all time. this is art of a black and white work. the actors are impressive and the script manage to keep the suspense and interest to the end. Kane is particularly well-developed, both outside the norms and very human. the last few seconds of the film, revealing why the dying man gave this last word, is a lesson about happiness brought to us by Orson Welles.

The Man with the Iron Fists

why I loved it !

It's after work and you need to blow off some steam well The Man with the Iron Fists got you covered. Let it be clear from the beginning Quentin Tarantino has almost nothing to do with this movie but his friends have. It has the vibe from a Tarantino movie but it's not nearly as good as the original stuff. It's just a great, silly, violent and fun entertainment and if you've seen the trailer you pretty much know what you're getting into. Special mention to the soundtrack, some songs are just very well placed throughout the film.

New Man of Steel trailer is out !

Not saying you should watch it but... Yeah just go watch it it's amazing !

Direct sequel to the first Silent Hill movie came out in 2006, Revelation is aesthetically beautiful and knows how to place cleverly his music. I can't say anything about the 3D because I saw it in digital version. It is not free from defects. The film is far from making this permanent stress felt on console. But let's be honest, no film could ever make such an atmosphere. The players of the series will be entertained for many winks made to them. Adelaide Clemens strongly reminds me of Michelle Williams in its infancy and have to be follow in the coming years.

why I loved it !

People always treats M. Night Shyamalan like a second grade director with an unconditional love for ending twists but I actually love the way he makes movies. He has a great sense of storytelling, creates deep characters and he always wants to makes something new and different. Unbreakable is one of those movies where he unleash all his magic. The face off between Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson is incredible. You can see that Willis's character never completely trust Elijah which gives the movie all this suspense and tension. A must see in my opinion.

During the summer of 1965, Suzy and Sam are two 12 years old lovers. Bad about themselves, they make the pact to run away together. While all the small island's community searches them, a huge storm is approching.

Cute and innocent as childhood

This film is tender and has a "disconnected from reality" side. It shares this characteristics with the two main roles who live in another world. They flee away from the dull life of adults they refuse to undergo. If we can blame it for a lack of depth, it is also for this style that the film is enjoyable to watch. This is a ray of sunshine far from other Hollywood movies.

why I loved it !

Event Horizon is one of those movies that not everyone enjoyed but for me it was just a blast. As a space nerd I just embraced the concept of edge of the universe. It may be full of jump scares. It may be gory as hell. But it's one ride you don't want to miss. Plus if you love the Dead Space franchise, this movie is a direct inspiration for it so enjoy !
