Paris, late 19th century. Christian is a passionate young writer who settles in the most bohemian district of the city, Montmartre. He quickly meet artists from the Moulin Rouge including the wonderful Satine. The beautiful woman occupying his thoughts, he decide to invest in the crazy adventure of "the Moulin".
True love is always tragic
This is one of the most beautiful and romantic musical I have ever seen. This movie made me meet two of my favorite actors, namely the talented Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor, absolutely perfect in this cursed couple role. The soundtrack is extremely rich, much more modern than most films of the genre, the scenery is also beautiful and inventive. This film is a profusion of references, a must-see.
