The Holiday by Nancy Meyers

One movie a day

The Holiday by Nancy Meyers

Amanda, an American woman, and Iris, an English, both come to know the heartbreak. Rather than spending the holidays to languish, they decide without knowing each other to exchange their homes. As far away they believe to be from men, each will make a incidental meeting...

Journeys end in lovers meeting

The Holiday is probably one of the movies that i re-watch the more gladly. It is a good romantic comedy which for more than 2 hours take you in this wonderful world where everyone has a half. It is well served by good music and especially by its casting of stars. I loved to see Cameron in this role, even if it remains in the same genre, because it is shifted of the blonde Barbie. Kate Winslet is beautiful and convincing in the role of a devalued intellectual and Jude Law is very touching, far from the image of seducer attributed to him in general. In short, this is a "feel good" movie to watch when you have a little time.
